Canada is enormous, almost comically so, and proportionately the west is most of its geography, even if parts of the west are empirically the centre of Canada. These distances are vast and major cities are few and far between, making for a unique and challenging touring network.

The Side Door showcase is going down at The Grand (Lobby) on October 1st featuring: TOVA (SK), The Trade-Offs (NV), Megan Nash (SK), Sierra Noble (MB), Nimkish (BC) and Missy D (BC).
Missy D is a bilingual Hip Hop, Rap & Soul Artist who makes music as therapy to express feelings, share a message and connect with listeners.
TOVA is a Nigerian-born RnB musician and expert storyteller that seeks to create worlds and experiences for the listener.
Sierra Noble is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who’s been established in the music industry since the age of 14.
"Megan Nash is writing some of the most beautiful songs in this country right now” - Tom Power on CBC's q. Megan Nash (she/they) is a songwriter that lives on Treaty 4 Territory.
In a blend of Inuktitut and English lyrics, The Trade-Offs sing the Arctic blues about universal themes of light, darkness, closeness, and isolation.
To fully immerse in the multitudes of Indigenous rising star Nimkish is to honour the past, look ahead to the future, and bask in the resplendent present all at once.
