What’s New with Side Door: Making Gigs Easier Than Ever for Hosts
We understand that finding the time to book and organize gigs can be challenging, especially if it’s your first rodeo. That’s why we’re rolling out a fresh approach to make hosting easier than ever.
Take Café Lara in Halifax’s vibrant North End, for example. Nestled on Agricola Street, this cozy, European-inspired spot is perfect for intimate gatherings. With room for up to 60 guests and a charming indoor/outdoor setup during the warmer months, Café Lara offers the ideal ambiance for a memorable concert experience.
Recently, we teamed up with this gem of a venue to bring in the incredible Kim Harris—hailed by CBC Music as “The mightiest voice coming out of the East Coast.” Known for her lush, emotionally charged alternative pop, Kim is set to deliver a show that perfectly complements the venue’s warm, inviting atmosphere.
So, How Did It Work?
We took Kim’s Show Call and suggested it to the host, Café Lara. We then managed the conversation with Kim, organized the show, listed the tickets, and we’re (as per every show) helping with the promotion. And… the show is SOLD-OUT, so we're thrilled with the response. All the venue had to do was provide a few available dates and get ready to welcome guests on the night of the show.
